MEB modular platform for electric cars

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the possibilities of the newly developed modular electric drive matrix MEB of the Volkswagen Group. The aim was to create a research study about technical parameters of the platform and the possibilities of its use for various categories of vehicles not only within the Volkswagen Group, but also the offer to competing manufacturers. In conclusion of the bachelor’s thesis is formulated the impact of technologies, offered by the modular electric drive matrix, on the development and production of electric vehicles and the related possibility of a reversal in the expansion of electric drive.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the creation of drawing documentation for the DSP and DPS of a new car centre for the Volkswagen group. The work is based on the documents in the form of a thesis assignment, dwg. drawing of the cadastral situation and architectural study AG32. The area is located in the South Moravian town of Mikulov. The land is located between Jiráskova and Republikánské obrany streets, and the terrain of the land is mostly flat. Currently, the land is part of a mostly unused agricultural centre. The building has a transportation character. Urban design makes the site as suitable as possible for collision-free traffic of people and cars. The car centre consists of a representative showroom and service. They have a different character and functioning, which is reflected in the design of the mass and the materials used. On the other hand, the building is united by the concept of color design, which is related to the visual identity of the Volkswagen group automotive group. The interior layout of the building is also divided into two interconnected units. A showroom building with facilities and a service building with warehouses. The individual parts are interconnected for smooth and collision-free running of the entire car centre. The 1NP showroom is used for displaying selected cars and for communication with customers. The second floor is used only for the administrative staff of the car centre. Part of the showroom and the service area are connected through the area of staff facilities, receiving workplace and automatic car wash. In addition to the connection through the receiving workplace and the automatic washing line, the service has another 3 individual entrances for variable access and is also directly connected to the warehouse for automotive spare parts and tyres. The service area is then divided into several required workplaces.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the impacts of the emission issue of the automotive company Volkswagen Group from year 2015. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the impact of the emission case on the financial situation of the Volkswagen Group and the European automotive industry. In order to determine the financial situation of the company before and after the emission case and its effects, it was necessary to carry out selected methods of financial analysis, on which the potential impact can be demonstrated. A simple analysis of the development of the entire European au- tomotive industry was then elaborated.

This bachelor thesis deals with the automotive industry with the main focus on Volkswagen AG. The first chapter discusses history in the automotive industry, new trends and development in this field and history of Volkswagen company. The second chapter analyzes VW from the financial characteristics and deals with its market position. The third chapter is focused on a SWOT analysis of VW Group and next possible developmental trends in the area of automotive production.

This bachelor thesis is focused on financial analysis of Volkswagen Group. In the beginning are defined methods of used financial analysis. It is followed by description of the holding and its particular subsidiaries, along with ownership structures among them. In the third chapter there is a practical part of the thesis, which is financial analysis itself. Gathered data are collected from annual reports. SWOT analysis is the last part of the thesis.

For more information value, the Bachelor thesis focuses on a TNC company Volkswagen Group, especially its representation in the Czech Republic. The main goal of this work is to determine the prognosis of the automotive industry in the Czech Republic and prognosis of the domestic market with new cars.
